• Burren river a smaller river from the lowlands north of Newcastle.
• Glen river a smaller river with its source in Slieve Donard, joins the sea in the southern end of Newcastle,
• Trassey river a tributary of the Shimna river, source in the Mourne Mountains west of Newcastle.
