Hill Walking

Two day walking special offer

A chance to explore the unspoilt faces of Northern Ireland’s great outdoors.

Slieve Binnion & Silent Valley

The Mournes are both manageable and beautiful. From our B&B in the seaside town of Newcastle, on the northern side of the Mountains of Mourne, we can explore this beautiful but surprisingly small area. Highlights include the Brandy Pad (an old smugglers track) in the shadow of Slieve Donard the highest peak (844m) and the Mourne way which takes in the best of the views over the mountains and the Irish sea. Transport is available to take you to Ott track and the Trassey track where Hares gap and spectacular views over Lough Shannagh, Ben Crom and Silent Valley reservoirs await you.

In the Mournes

Or lowland walks in one of our two forest parks, Castlewellan and Tollymore or a stroll along the beach at Murlough bay nature reserve, there is something for all levels of fitness.
